David D. French most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Cirrus Logic, Inc. Under French's leadership, Cirrus Logic has emerged as a world leader in audio integrated circuits (ICs), such as audio converters and audio digital signal processors, as well as industrial mixed-signal and embedded ICs.
With more than 20 years of semiconductor experience, French came to Cirrus Logic from Analog Devices where he served as a vice president and general manager. During his tenure at Analog Devices, he was instrumental in driving the company's growth in markets served by advanced DSP and mixed-signal processing solutions.
Before joining Analog Devices, French held management positions at Texas Instruments and Fairchild Semiconductor. At Texas Instruments, he played a key role in driving the sales and market share growth of products based on the TMS320 architecture.
French holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester and serves on the Board of Directors of the Consumer Electronics Association.
