Co-Founder and Managing General Partner
Jesse is Founder and Managing General Partner of Dragonvest Partners, LP. Jesse has more than twenty-five years of international business experience in both the technology sector and the Greater China marketplace. In addition, Jesse is also the founder and principal partner in Dragonvest Partners I LP, a Boston-based angel fund specializing in investing in seed-stage technology companies in China. The fund has made four investments in the fabless semiconductor sector in China.
Jesse previously served as Vice President of International Business Development for Softbank International Ventures where he led the establishment of a global private equity network of funds in Asia and Europe. Previously, Jesse was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at IBM Microelectronics where he assisted in developing the unit's global merchant market sales strategy. At Digital Equipment Corporation Jesse was Director of Product Management for the Personal Computer division. He was instrumental in Digital's first Intel-Microsoft-based PCs developed in its Taiwan R&D center.
Jesse's experience in China goes back to 1980 when he taught American History and English at Changsha Railway Institute in Changsha, Hunan Province. Subsequently, he spent five years living and working in Beijing, China as a consultant.
Jesse speaks Mandarin Chinese. He serves on the board of directors of the Greater China Business Council of New England as well as the boards of several private technology companies.
